These replacement remote controls are constructed to a high standard and can replace nearly all original TV remotes. SomeVCR, Audio, DVD, Sat. DVB, etc are also available (please ask us). We can also quote for most manufacturer originals if required, but the prices are normally considerably higher than the replacements.
The shape and button layout is normally different on the replacements to the originals, but the functions are basically the same.
In some cases a manual TV/VCR slide switch is replaced with a soft "pre-press" button.
These remotes are designed to "mimic" all the functions of the original and cannot do any additional functions that the original would not do.
The battery requirements vary with different models, but nearly all use either 2 or 4 AA or AAA types.
If batteries are ordered with the unit the appropriate ones will be sent.
Re-chargeable batteries are not always suitable for remotes and may cause incorrect operation.
The buttons on any remote control should not be kept depressed for long periods of time (e.g. by being accidentally wedged down the side of a chair or under a cushion). This can cause damage to the unit, by overheating and possibly constitute a fire hazard.
The customer should always check the make and the exact model number (found on the back of the appliance) or on the handbook before ordering.

Always ensure that the batteries are inserted correctly follow the markings inside the battery compartment (in most cases batteries are fitted in alternate directions).
